**Demand Investigation Into Trump Family Cryptocurrency Deal With UAE** I am writing to demand immediate congressional investigation into the Trump family's cryptocurrency dealings with the United Arab Emirates and the subsequent transfer of advanced AI technology that compromised our national security. Four days before President Trump's inauguration, an investment firm controlled by Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan, the UAE's National Security Advisor, secretly purchased a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial, the Trump family's cryptocurrency venture, for $500 million. At least $187 million went directly to the Trump family, and $31 million to the Witkoff family, headed by Steve Witkoff, Trump's chief Middle East advisor. President Trump reportedly owns 70% of DT Marks DeFi LLC, the company affiliated with this venture. Shortly after inauguration, Trump approved the sale of $1 billion worth of advanced AI chips to the UAE company G42, which is also backed by Sheikh Tahnoon. This decision was made against the advice of senior national security officials, including the Senior Director for Technology at the NSC. Both Republican and Democratic administrations had previously refused to sell this advanced AI hardware to the UAE due to concerns about the well-known integration of UAE national security services with China. In 2024, Republican House Foreign Affairs Committee Chair Michael McCaul requested a probe of Microsoft's $1.5 billion investment into G42, citing these same integration concerns. This pattern represents a clear quid pro quo: a secret payment to the Trump family followed immediately by the transfer of sensitive technology that both parties agreed should not go to the UAE. The bipartisan consensus that these chips would likely flow to China makes this decision even more alarming. I urge you to support a full congressional investigation with subpoena power to examine these transactions, determine whether criminal conduct occurred, and hold those responsible accountable. Our national security cannot be for sale to the highest bidder.
