An Open Letter

To: Rep. McCabe, Sen. Rauscher, Gov. Dunleavy

From: A constituent in Wasilla, AK

June 7

For the past few years, I have written my opposition to the West Su access project. I do not want the state to fund a road to a privately held mine. I think private developers should build their own roads, and I think the River should be protected. I am also opposed to Data Centers in the mat-Su. They are sucking the life out of our aging infrastructure. They have caused havoc to energy grids and water supplies. They are unregulated and for some reason get tax breaks. They are noisy. I don’t want one near me. Now I hear about coal mi es. I can’t seem to figure out where this coal mine is going, but it is the same company that wants to build a data center. Is this the mine at the end of the governors proposed road? Just stop. Look at the problems they are creating outside. Where is the transparency? Where is the regulation? Do not invite these problems to Alaska. No.No. No.
