An Open Letter

Thank you so much for your service! I know things are crazy here in MO, and you are working hard to help us. Could you please take a moment to consider a law that is too restrictive? We limit the amount of pseudoephedrine citizens may buy because of the rampant meth problem. It makes sense, until you get a tick bite that causes Alpha Gal Syndrome (AGS). Us AGS sufferers have many issues, but this one can be easily handled. Many allergy meds are unsafe for the AGS patient, because they contain mammal ingredients. Allegra 24 is one that is safe. If I take an Allegra 24 and an Allegra D 24 every day, I am able to leave the house for doctors appointments. I cannot buy enough Allegra D to last a month. I am only allowed one package of 15 tablets per month. The Allegra D 12 hour product contains mammal ingredients, so it is not a viable option. My doctor has written me a prescription for Allegra D 24, but no pharmacy will fill it, because it refers to an over the counter product. Please help the Alpha Gal community (we are a hotspot and many are suffering) by doubling the amount of pseudoephedrine that may be purchased over the counter per month. It should not be easier to buy marijuana than allergy meds. Please help. Thank you for your time.
