Antifa is not a terrorist organization, and Trump cannot make it one just because he says it. People have the right to be against fascism in our country. We have the right to protest peacefully against fascism in our country. But Trump, being against the 1st Amendment unless it only applies to him and his MAGAs, is sentencing anti-ICE protestors in Texas to 30 years and up to 50 years in prison, and that includes people who weren't even involved in planning the protest. These sentences are ridiculous. They are more than the insurrectionists who stormed the Capitol received. And they are certainly more than the ICE thugs who have killed American citizens received. Furthermore, there was no evidence of an illegal conspiracy, but this is what an authoritarian does to people who fight oppression. Congress, I don't care if you're a Republican, a Democrat, or an Independent, this should alarm you. It is so far past time for Congress to start providing checks and balances on Trump. Stop allowing him free rein to terrorize, bully, threaten, and intimidate the United States people. Stand up to Trump. The United States is not under authoritarian rule despite what Trump believes, and Congress has the ability to make it fully clear to Trump that he is not a dictator.
