I know Congress is coming up on another government funding deadline. Besides making sure to fully fund anything possible, I want them to make sure they reverse Trump’s Medicaid cuts and extend the ACA premium tax credits in any new funding bill. I also want them to put more guardrails around Trump so he must spend the money Congress allocates. We know the administration has already withheld $425 billion that Congress agreed to spend on programs like biomedical research, crime fighting efforts and energy programs. This is wrong. Trump is out of control, dictatorial, and incompetent. Congress must push back and find ways to ensure their funding decisions are upheld.
