There is an AI business lobbyist law (Illinois SB 3444) put forth on Illinois to give immunity to ChatGPT and other AI companies “in case”they cause critical harm (death or serious injury) to 100 people, directly or indirectly or causing the loss of $1B to any other business caused by an AI model “as long as they put a safety protocol on their website first”. Please do let a law like this even enter our legislature, let alone get put for a vote.
