An Open Letter
To: Rep. Boebert
From: A constituent in Highlands Ranch, CO
February 14, 2025
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Resolution[1] currently under consideration. This proposal contradicts the conservative principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and individual liberty that you champion.
• Excessive Spending: The resolution increases federal spending and expands entitlement programs, deepening the national debt and burdening future generations. A fiscally responsible approach requires spending cuts, not government expansion.[2]
• Tax Increases: While marketed as necessary for funding social programs, potential tax adjustments will stifle economic growth and harm small businesses. Hardworking Americans should keep more of their earnings, not fund bloated federal initiatives.[3]
• Risk of Fiscal Insolvency: The budget does not do enough to address the long-term sustainability of Social Security and Medicare, leaving them vulnerable to financial collapse instead of enacting necessary reforms to protect future generations.[4]
• Expanding Bureaucracy: The proposal strengthens federal agencies that have historically imposed burdensome regulations on businesses and individuals, further infringing on personal freedoms and state sovereignty.[5]
As your constituent, I urge you to oppose this budget resolution and advocate for a more responsible, limited-government alternative. Thank you for your continued leadership in defending conservative values.
