I am writing to express my extreme aversion to the idea of manipulating elections through redistricting. Any attempt to redistrict our state in order to provide an advantage to either political party is not an action this represents our state or our people. Our representation is already skewed toward one political party and the idea that our state leaders have manipulated and plan to continue manipulating our state elections to further influence federal elections is abhorrent. Representation should be fair, period. Land doesn’t vote, people do. I desperately hope you and the rest of our political leaders come to your senses. This trend toward extremist political action is toxic for our state and our country. With each push to the left or (especially) the right, the subsequent swing of the pendulum is costing us lives, stability and reputation.
