Vote NO on Todd Blanche. I am a retired attorney with 36 years experience in federal and state courts and I continue to keep up to date on legal matters, some of which come before your committee. Recently, more than 1,200 former Justice Department (https://knewz.com/tag/justice-department/) employees, who served under and were appointed by both Republican and Democratic administrations, signed a letter urging the U.S. Senate to reject acting Attorney General Todd Blanche (https://knewz.com/tag/todd-blanche/)’s nomination to permanently lead the depart ment, accusing him of damaging the agency’s workforce and undermining its mission. Blanche has violated the Epstein Transparency Act, failed to properly investigate law enforcement officers who shot or otherwise injured civilians, been a signatory to the fund intended to pay off Jan 6 rioters, been involved in the settlement which immunizes Trump, his family and companies from all IRS audits and actions, moved a convicted sex offender to a federal prison camp not intended fir such offenders, and has apparently not been candid either with Congress or the Courts or has supervised those who failed in such candor. Further, he has failed to recuse himself in situations where an apparent conflict of interest was present. As DAG and as acting AG, he has presided over the dismantling of the civil rights division of DOJ and the twisting of its mandate into the reverser of its stated purpose. Further as DAG and as acting AG, he has permitted the national security division to be hollowed out. Blanche is facing disciplinary charges related to the above issues and could find himself with a suspension of his law license. Vote NO on Todd Blanche.
