Save our Public Lands

To: Sen. Cortez Masto, Sen. Rosen

From: A constituent in Reno, NV

June 19, 2025

As a constituent and supporter of public lands, it is urged that you oppose the reconciliation bill language that would allow for the sale of millions of acres of public lands.  These lands are essential for outdoor recreation, wildlife habitat, clean water, and access to nature for future generations. Selling these lands prioritizes private development over public access and conservation. The current proposal to sell off between 0.5% and 0.75% of Bureau of Land Management and Forest Service lands in eleven Western states could lead to the loss of recreational areas and natural resources.
