Representative Sarah McBride was duly elected to the House. She deserves respect and to not be bullied. Let the woman use the bathroom she chooses. Any of the Republican rhetoric around trans people being a threat to women is not credible and so ridiculous. She’s a congresswoman, not a sexual assaulter. The republicans have plenty of sexual abusers in their own ranks- solve that by kicking the out and then maybe we can hear a discussion but making trans people into a threat, or bullying them publicly for the press coverage, as Nancy Mays has done, is disrespectful and disgraceful. I expect your support of civility and decency including letting the congresswoman use whatever bathroom she tells you is appropriate because no one should be checking any Congress persons genitalia before using a bathroom.
