The SCOTUS may have ruled that this administration may end temporary protected status for Haitians and others, but that doesn’t mean it should. These people have been in the country legally, working and providing necessary services for a long time. Their countries of origin have not gotten safer. These are upstanding members of our communities. They provide necessary labor in our economies. Why would we gut our communities here in the US just to send these folks back into danger? This decision only makes sense if looked at through the lens of white supremacy and white nationalism. I think our country can do better than racism and xenophobia. Please protect these legal immigrants.
