Release the Trump-Epstein Files Without Delay or Obstruction
To: Sen. Lee, Rep. Maloy, Sen. Curtis
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
October 2
Stop shielding President Trump from accountability on the Epstein files. On September 30, 2026, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ordered the Justice Department to fast-track FOIA requests for investigative records mentioning Trump and Mar-a-Lago, along with internal communications from senior officials including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy AG Todd Blanche, and FBI Director Kash Patel. The court found these requests meet DOJ's own standard for expedited treatment — exceptional public interest and possible concerns about government integrity. DOJ fought this in court rather than simply complying.
The department's resistance to releasing these specific investigative files is exactly why the public doesn't trust it. These aren't fringe requests — they target records that DOJ's own rules require it to prioritize. I expect you to demand full, unredacted compliance with Judge Kollar-Kotelly's order and to hold Bondi and Patel accountable if they slow-walk, over-redact, or obstruct. The American people deserve to know what those files contain.
