I have become aware of the move to ban AI regulation for the next ten years (Title IV - Energy and Commerce, Part II: AI Section, (C) Moratorium), and as a constituent in your district I am asking that you oppose this measure. Not only does unregulated AI currently threaten many creative industries, but it also creates a grave security risk to the American people, via misinformation and "deepfakes" (ie impersonation). Worse, it also allows for the creation of pornographic material of any person, including children. We are sorely in need of stricter AI regulations to mitigate these threats, not banning the creation of regulations. Again, I ask that you oppose the passing of this section banning AI regulation in the budget reconciliation bill.
