An Open Letter
To: Gov. Polis
From: A constituent in Aurora, CO
November 18
It is concerning to see the endorsement of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services given his well-documented history of promoting anti-vaccine misinformation and conspiracy theories. As a public figure, statements lending credibility to Kennedy's unscientific views could further erode trust in vital public health institutions and life-saving vaccines. I urge you to prioritize evidence-based policymaking and withdraw support for this controversial nominee who rejects mainstream medical consensus. Ensuring strong, science-driven leadership at agencies like the CDC, FDA and NIH is crucial for safeguarding public health and upholding scientific integrity across the federal government. There are many well-qualified candidates who do not have a track record of undermining confidence in vaccines and sowing distrust of medical experts. I hope you will reconsider this endorsement that risks legitimizing harmful pseudoscience.
