The United States, and including several Florida universities, is well known for its scientific and research prowess. Trump is killing that. Cuts to research, education, the National Cancer Center and an ideological veto for programs are killing our country’s capability to continue our past prowess. This will hurt us for decades if not longer. More people will suffer that could have gotten treatment or cures. Other countries who foster their research programs will outperform us. This is stupid. Congress is supposed to control the purse strings and to create or remove programs, not the executive branch. What they are doing is illegal, and you should be standing up for your powers. You are consistently, daily, failing your constituents and country. You will be known forever for this failure and your part in the detrimental actions you have ignored or encouraged.
