A Government That Works for Americans
I am asking my elected representatives to consider a simple principle for America's next governing agenda: Rational National Self-Interest.
A strong nation begins with strong individuals. Government should not exist to control people's lives, nor should public investment be dismissed as charity. We invest in Americans because healthy, educated, economically secure people create a stronger, more productive, and more resilient country.
That means treating healthcare and education as investments in our national foundation; rewarding productive work and innovation rather than monopoly and extraction; protecting fair elections and genuine competition; demanding transparency and accountability from government; and ensuring that wealth, political connections, and public office never place anyone above the law.
The individual is sovereign. Government's job is to maintain the fair, stable framework in which individuals can build better lives for themselves—and, in doing so, strengthen the country around them.
This isn't fundamentally about Left versus Right. It's about Working versus Broken.
I ask you—and especially your legislative and policy staff—to review Project 2029: A Mandate for Economic and Political Justice, which turns these principles into a detailed legislative framework covering healthcare, economic opportunity, taxation, education, elections, competition, government accountability, technology, energy, law enforcement, and judicial ethics.
Please consider which of these proposals deserve a place in America's next governing agenda.
