Vote no on harmful One Big Beautiful Bill Act
To: Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd
From: A constituent in Charlotte, NC
June 5
The Trump administration's One Big Beautiful Bill Act going through Congress would be extremely harmful, adding $2.4 trillion to the deficit over the next decade while stripping health care coverage from nearly 11 million Americans. According to the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office analysis, 7.8 million people would lose their Medicaid coverage due to new work requirements and other changes that disproportionately impact vulnerable populations like children and low-income families - a service that many, including myself, have relied upon in difficult times. The bill also lacks reasonable safeguards for emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, opening the door to unchecked development that could threaten privacy, security, and ethical governance. For the sake of fiscal responsibility, access to quality healthcare, and responsible tech policy, I urge you to vote no on this reckless and misguided legislation. We need reforms that invest in our people and future, not ones that aggravate inequalities and burden the middle class.
