Hiding Behind Staff Isn’t Representation
To: Rep. Moore
From: A constituent in Buckhannon, WV
August 11
Riley, you’ve turned your so-called “listening tour” into a staff errand run. You’re not showing up to face the people you represent—you’re sending staff to collect constituent complaints while you hide in D.C.
This is exactly why West Virginians are fed up. You vote for bills that gut our safety nets, slash disaster aid, kill jobs, and threaten our economic future, then you avoid answering for those votes in person. Meeting face-to-face with constituents is not optional—it’s a core part of the job you asked for.
If you can’t stand in front of the people impacted by your decisions and defend your record, then you’re not fit to serve. Hiding behind staffers is cowardice, not leadership.
Show up or step aside—because West Virginia deserves a representative who will face us, not avoid us.
