Release ethics report on Gaetz before AG consideration
To: Rep. Scalise
From: A constituent in Metairie, LA
November 21
The allegations against former Rep. Matt Gaetz are deeply concerning, and the American public deserves full transparency regarding his potential appointment as Attorney General. The House Ethics Committee's report on their investigation into Gaetz must be released. Citizens have a right to know the details surrounding someone being considered for such a powerful position overseeing the enforcement of our laws. Keeping this report concealed undermines trust in the integrity of the process. I urge the Committee to fulfill their duty of oversight and disclose their findings on Gaetz so the Senate and public can properly evaluate his fitness for this crucial role. Withholding this information is an unacceptable lack of accountability.
