Demand Release of Withheld Epstein Files Mentioning Trump
To: Rep. Maloy, Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
February 24
An NPR investigation published on February 24, 2026, revealed that the Justice Department has withheld files related to allegations that President Trump sexually abused a minor in connection with Jeffrey Epstein. NPR also discovered that the DOJ removed documents from the public database where accusations against Epstein mention Trump. This is unacceptable.
The Justice Department exists to serve the American people and uphold the rule of law, not to protect powerful individuals from accountability. When federal agencies actively conceal evidence of potential crimes involving the President of the United States, they undermine public trust in our entire system of justice. The deliberate removal of documents from public databases suggests a coordinated effort to shield Trump from scrutiny rather than pursue truth.
These are not minor administrative decisions. We are talking about allegations of sexual abuse of a minor, crimes that would result in immediate investigation and prosecution for any ordinary citizen. The fact that these files remain hidden while Trump holds the highest office in the land represents a fundamental betrayal of equal justice under law.
I am demanding that you take immediate action to ensure the full release of all Epstein-related files that mention Trump. This includes any documents that were removed from public databases and any files currently being withheld by the DOJ. The American people have a right to know if their President has been credibly accused of such serious crimes.
Your silence on this matter makes you complicit in the cover-up. I expect you to publicly call for the release of these documents, to demand answers from the Justice Department about why they were withheld and removed, and to support any investigation into potential obstruction of justice. The integrity of our democracy depends on elected officials who will stand up for accountability regardless of political consequences.
I will be watching your response to this issue closely and will share your actions, or lack thereof, with other constituents in our community.
