Sales Tax Increase

To: Gov. Sherrill

From: A constituent in Bridgeton, NJ

March 31

I am a Cumberland County constituent - one of the poorest areas of NJ. I am also a retired nurse, on my own, struggling on a fixed income to maintain my home while I can still be independent. And I voted for you. An increase in sales tax will hurt me and many of us living in NJ. It will increase inequality. I am opposed to any kind of sales tax increase. The more equitable way to generate revenue is tax that falls exclusively on the wealthy. TAX THE RICH, NOT THOSE OF US WHO HAVE BECOME POORER OVER THE PAST DECADES.
