Changes to ICE practices

To: Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim, Rep. Kean

From: A constituent in Kenvil, NJ

June 21, 2025

All members of law enforcement of any sort, whether they be city, township, county, state, or federal, must wear uniforms clearly identifying what department they work for, their surname, and showing an identifiable insignia solely belonging to their specific employer. No more ICE using bullet-proof vests with POLICE on them - that makes them appear to be local law enforcement. This sows distrust of local police departments.Vehicles used by ICE or DHS must be clearly, visibly marked so that they can be identified.Individuals who are being arrested should have their identity confirmed, and be shown a warrant for their arrest.
