Join the 24 states and D.C. already challenging Trump's USPS mail voting rule. This state needs to act now — over 51 million mail ballots are set to go out in the coming weeks, and a last-minute federal takeover of that process will cost voters their ballots. Judge Talwani found it "practically inevitable" that the rule would prevent voters from casting ballots this year. The rule forces states to submit voter lists to a federal portal that isn't even live yet, and get envelope designs approved by the Postal Service — all against deadlines that are already here. California is mailing 23 million ballots. Washington, Colorado, and Arizona are right behind. There is no time to comply, and that's the point. The DOJ is already asking the Supreme Court to lift the block on this rule. Our state cannot sit on the sidelines while the administration dismantles mail voting 60 days before the midterms. File a challenge and make clear this state will not hand federal bureaucrats control over who gets a ballot.
