An Open Letter

To: Rep. Hudson

From: A constituent in Cary, NC

November 12

I am writing as your constituent to urge you not to vote for the upcoming funding bill unless it includes strong protections for healthcare access and affordability. Healthcare is a vital issue for families across our district and the country. Too many Americans, Including myself still struggle to afford basic care, prescriptions, and insurance coverage. Any funding legislation that moves forward without clear safeguards for healthcare programs—especially Medicaid, Medicare, and protections for people with preexisting conditions—would put millions at risk. I respectfully ask that you stand firm in demanding that the final version of the funding bill include meaningful healthcare protections before lending your support. Ensuring that every American has access to affordable, high-quality care is not a partisan issue—it’s a moral one. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued service to our district. I look forward to seeing you advocate for a funding bill that prioritizes the health and well-being of your constituents.
