Reject irresponsible $4.5 trillion tax cut, ruinous fiscal policy

To: Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd, Rep. Harris

From: A constituent in Waxhaw, NC

February 26, 2025

This proposed spending bill is fiscally irresponsible and will inflict significant harm on American families. The $4.5 trillion in tax cuts are not fully funded by spending reductions, meaning the deficit will balloon and saddle future generations with crippling debt. This is unacceptable fiscal policy that mortgages our children's futures. While funding border security and the military is important, not at the cost of exploding the debt through reckless tax cuts tilted towards the wealthy. I urge you to reject this legislation and demand a balanced, responsible approach that does not risk economic crisis for families in our state. We need prudent governance, not fiscally ruinous policies driven by partisan agendas over sound economics. Stand up for fiscal sanity and the financial well-being of your constituents.
