80 Montana AmeriCorps members lost their jobs recently, leaving nonprofits, agencies short staffed. They worked at food banks, in schools and with veterans. Many AmeriCorps members also work for FWP. One national study of the program showed an average $34 return for each federal dollar spent on the program, with some programs generating twice that impact.  AmeriCorps members are low paid semi-volunteers (when my daughter participated she qualified for food stamps). Most are young people getting important work force training. The program benefits so many for a minimal cost. Please do what you can to return it to full funding.
