I am writing to you today to request that you act to protect America. These are dangerous times with the rise of Fascism and Authoritarianism here in the land of the free and home of the brave. Our nation was founded on a system of checks and balances, freedom of the press, and free and fair elections with a PEACEFUL transfer of power. I am asking that you ENSURE that the power to vett and approve candidates remains with the Congress and Senate by not allowing recess appointments as the incoming administration wants. Currently there are TWO potential cabinet members with DIRECT TIES TO RUSSIA and on our watch list. We also have THREE candidates with KNOWN SEXUAL ASSAULT OR MISCONDUCT. Most of the candidates seek to enforce Project 2025 ideals which you said you were against. Most want to destroy the very department they are being tasked to lead. Please do what is right to save our country and force more qualified and ethical candidates. Second, please vote against the bills limiting the power of the press, forming new government offices, and abolishing the Department of Education. As an educator, I hope you will do what is right to protect these precious cornerstones of our nation. You have been elected to serve ALL of our constituents and we need you to do what is right not what is easy or best for you personally. Thank you for your time.
