The continued violence and loss of life in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a humanitarian catastrophe that must be addressed. I urge you to support Senator Sanders' resolutions to block the proposed $20 billion in arms sales to Israel. Supplying more weapons will only exacerbate the suffering and devastation, particularly in Gaza where over 41,000 Palestinians have already been killed. This carnage has largely been carried out with U.S.-supplied military equipment. Facilitating further militarization and prolonging this deadly conflict undermines American values of human rights and diplomacy. Instead of fueling more violence, we should leverage our influence to push for an immediate ceasefire, hostage release, and renewed peace negotiations. Protecting innocent civilian lives, upholding international law, and pursuing a just resolution must be the priority. I urge you to support stopping these arms sales and refocusing American policy on achieving a lasting peace.
