Was Trump’s response to No Kings demonstrators appropriate?

To: Rep. Maloy, Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee

From: A verified voter in Ivins, UT

October 21

In response to millions of Americans peacefully exercising their constitutional right to free speech and participating in No Kings rallies nationwide, Donald Trump chose to post an AI-generated video of himself, in a fighter plane labeled “King Trump”, wearing a crown, and dumping excrement on the citizens below. This man is an embarrassment, and sick in the head. He is damaging the US’s stature and image among the world’s citizens and leaders. Not only that, he is clearly expressing his contempt for the people he was elected to govern. I challenge you to publicly either loudly condemn this behavior, or loudly support it. Do not hide in the background and ignore it. Make your statement; that way we all will know where you stand with regard to this abhorrent, disgusting attitude toward American citizens. Your silence, however, will be interpreted by myself and many others that you agree that such behavior is appropriate for an elected official such as yourself, who is tasked with representing ALL American citizens, not just those who voted for you in the last election. Because, if you do explicitly or tacitly support such an attitude, much fewer people will be voting for you next time around, mark my words.
