What do you mean “Praying He wasn’t One of Us?”

To: Gov. Cox

From: A constituent in Riverton, UT

September 13

You were praying it wasn’t “one of us?” What on God’s green earth did you mean by that? You specifically said you were hoping it was an immigrant? Or someone not from Utah, a predominantly white state, so someone… of color? Retract that. Offer a formal apology. Your words tell me, without a doubt that you’re a white supremacist. Your support of Trump further verifies that. DEMONSTRATE to me that you are not. Because your words condemn you. You’re going viral online for that moment, and with good reason. Nothing was taken out of context, nothing was misconstrued, you said the “quiet part out loud”, and now you need to confront and deal with that. Also, divest yourself of your water wasting alfalfa farm, crack down on exporting water intensive crops from a DESERT STATE, and save the Great Salt Lake. I know they say to keep it to one issue per letter, but if you’re going to be a white supremacist, please be a water conserving one.
