CONGRESS DO YOUR JOB!
To: Rep. Neguse
From: A constituent in Fort Collins, CO
March 30
Members of Congress,
Return to session immediately and fulfill your constitutional duty.
The United States is engaged in military action without clear, lawful authorization or meaningful oversight. This is not a procedural technicality—it is a fundamental breach of Congress’s responsibility to check executive power, safeguard public trust, and control the use of taxpayer dollars.
You were elected to deliberate, to authorize, and to restrain. When you are absent or silent, those responsibilities do not disappear—they are abandoned.
The American people deserve accountability. Our service members deserve lawful leadership and a clearly defined mission. Our allies—and the world—are watching whether the United States still honors the rule of law.
Reconvene. Debate openly. Vote on authorization. Reassert your authority over war powers and federal spending. If this action cannot withstand scrutiny, it should not continue.
Bring our military personnel home unless and until Congress has lawfully determined their mission. Uphold your oath. Restore balance. Do your job.
Respectfully,
All of humanity
