De-escalate the Venezuela Situation and Assert Congressional Oversight!

To: Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis

From: A constituent in West Jordan, UT

January 4

The news that the United States attacked Venezuela and kidnapped/imprisoned its president and first lady greeted me this morning. Of course he did not get authorization from Congress. I am counting on you to seek de-escalation and diplomacy; immediate oversight and hearings; and demand action over this breach of War Powers accountability. Congress must be the balance to executive overreach. I assume that as a duly sworn senator, you take this seriously. I will be watching your actions.
