Global Tariffs Hurt America – Take Action Now

To: Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd, Rep. Rouzer

From: A constituent in Wilmington, NC

April 5

I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you to take immediate action to oppose President Donald Trump’s global tariffs. These broad-based tariffs pose a serious threat to the U.S. economy, small businesses, and American families who are already facing rising costs. History has shown that sweeping tariffs lead to higher prices on everyday goods, disrupt supply chains, and invite retaliatory measures from our trading partners. These policies disproportionately impact working-class Americans and small businesses that rely on imported materials and global markets. Rather than isolating the U.S. through aggressive trade barriers, we need policies that foster fair trade, strengthen our international partnerships, and support American competitiveness in a global economy. I strongly urge you to reject global tariffs and instead work toward solutions that protect American consumers, workers, and businesses.
