I urge you to immediately demand full disclosure and congressional oversight of the Trump administration's proposed acquisition of Lukoil's international energy assets, a multibillion-dollar transaction currently being negotiated with direct involvement from presidential envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff. Multiple credible news sources confirm that this deal raises serious legal, ethical, financial, and national security concerns that demand transparent public scrutiny. The reported proposal grants a controlling investor group led by billionaire Todd Boehly unprecedented benefits directly tied to Trump family connections. Boehly has donated $2 million to Trump political projects during active negotiations. His investment partners include Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who controls companies owning nearly half of World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by Witkoff and involving Trump's sons. Sheikh Tahnoon also controls Lunate, an investment fund with a major stake in Kushner's private equity firm Affinity Partners. A third partner, Qatari billionaires Moutaz and Ramez Al-Khayyat, are simultaneously building a multibillion-dollar resort with Kushner and Ivanka Trump in Albania. The deal's value derives entirely from U.S. government action to lift sanctions imposed one year ago to pressure Putin. Lifting sanctions would instantly boost asset valuations, creating direct financial benefit for Trump's family members and associates. Putin himself requested the deal during Kushner and Witkoff's September 2026 Kremlin visit, and the administration signaled it could advance before Ukraine war resolution, effectively linking energy profits to war negotiations. Critically, a competing all-American bid from Carlyle was rejected despite offering superior terms for U.S. ownership. The chosen group explicitly structures foreign ownership of a "large share" of resulting profits. The administration has not publicly disclosed complete agreements, beneficial owners, financing sources, or valuation methodologies. This transaction appears to represent precisely the kind of conflict of interest and lack of competitive transparency that demands immediate congressional investigation. I urge you to demand full disclosure and oppose approval unless independent review confirms this arrangement truly serves American national interests rather than personal enrichment.
