It’s way too late in the game to keep carrying water for Israel and denying the ongoing apartheid and genocide of Palestinians. I don’t think Angelica Dueñas is bona fide and I’m not going to vote for her. But Rep. Rivas has unfortunately been blind in one eye on this very fundamental moral - and practical - issue, and I’m not currently inclined to vote for her either. Supporting this resolution would be a clear indication that she has come around. It utterly undermines remembrance of the Armenian Genocide - which is also ongoing in Artsakh thanks to international denial and deference to Turkey and Azerbaijan - to look at a situation with so much of the same rhetoric, a similar abundance of evidence that makes denial preposterously absurd*, and consistently vote to perpetuate it. Please co-sponsor this resolution. This district has great staff and an otherwise commendable Rep. I would really like to vote to re-elect them. *THIS is why Democrats should be condemning a certain YouTuber. Also his contempt for Black people…
