CONGRESS MUST ACT NOW TO END AN UNAUTHORIZED WAR WITH IRAN
As your constituent, I urge you to speak out publicly and take immediate action to bring an end to the unauthorized U.S. military strikes against Iran. The bombing has already begun, yet there’s still no clear authorization, objective, or exit plan. Congress must stop this open-ended conflict before it expands even further.
THE U.S. IS ALREADY ENGAGED IN UNDECLARED HOSTILITIES
What started as limited attacks has escalated into ongoing military operations without a clear strategy or legal framework. The administration has yet to define the mission, timeline, or goals—putting our troops and allies at risk and leaving the American public in the dark.
ESCALATION RISKS ARE REAL AND GROWING
Iran has the capacity to retaliate across the region through missiles, proxy forces, and cyberattacks. Continued strikes could endanger thousands of U.S. personnel, destabilize allies, and trigger a broader war that Congress never authorized.
THE HUMAN AND FISCAL COSTS ARE TOO HIGH
We’ve lived through decades of costly Middle East wars that claimed lives, drained resources, and left veterans and families bearing the burden. Starting another major conflict without authorization or a defined endgame repeats the same mistakes—with no clear strategic gain.
CONGRESS MUST RECLAIM ITS CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE
The Constitution gives Congress—not the President—the authority to decide when we go to war. Congress must immediately reassert that power, demand full transparency, and require a vote before any further escalation. Americans have the right to know the purpose, risks, and costs before more lives are put on the line.
ACTION REQUIRED NOW
Publicly oppose continuation of unauthorized strikes on Iran.
Enforce the War Powers Resolution and demand withdrawal absent Congressional approval.
Require a written strategy detailing objectives, costs, risks, and exit criteria.
Call emergency hearings to ensure full transparency and accountability.
Unchecked military action without authorization is not leadership—it’s a failure of oversight. Congress must act now to end this unauthorized war and prevent another endless conflict.
