I’m writing as a concerned citizen to express that I am shocked and appalled by what is currently happening in Minnesota with federal immigration enforcement activity and the growing violence surrounding it.
I support law enforcement, including ICE, and I support removing violent criminals who are in this country illegally.
However, I do not support the arrest, beating, or shooting of citizens, and I strongly oppose ICE or federal agents going door-to-door in ways that violate constitutional rights.
The level of force and escalation we are seeing is unacceptable and is pushing our communities toward fear and chaos.
I am an independent voter and I have voted for Republicans in the past. This is not a partisan message. It is a moral one and a constitutional one.
I urge you to do what you can to stop this escalation, demand accountability, and ensure enforcement operations remain lawful, restrained, and focused on truly dangerous individuals.
