At a time when families are already struggling with high costs of living, it is essential that leaders like you continue to protect the ACA and access to the coverage it provides. The push to normalize increasing healthcare costs is both reckless and deeply out of touch with the needs of everyday Americans. The Affordable Care Act has been a lifeline for people who would otherwise be uninsured in our already deeply unfair and broken healthcare system. Any attempt to erode its protections or make coverage more expensive directly threatens the health and financial stability of millions. Your decision to stand against these efforts demonstrates real leadership and a commitment to the people you represent. Standing up to those who would put ideology ahead of people takes courage, and it does not go unnoticed. Please continue to defend the ACA, hold the line against policies that would harm working families. Please also consider joining the progressive voices that are trying to open Americans eyes to the need for a new, robust, government funded single payer system. None of us are free, until all of us are free.
