I am a taxpaying citizen that was born and mostly raised in NC, to think that the US is not a laughingstock right now would be very wrong. My expectation as a law-abiding tax paying citizen that you uphold the oath you made to the constitution, no to the carpet bagger that will be in the office of the president in 2025. Your oath of office is very clear, you are to uphold the constitution of the US, you don't have to agree with it but it is the law of the land. That means we do not go around it by declaring a national emergency and deploy troops on American soil. Deport illegals according to the law. How do you think that your constituents in NC will like it when the carpet bagger sends in the military to their places of business and their private farms to remove people, they decide are illegal. First off if I was the military, I would say no. This is not their role in our country, and they should not be made to do this task. Frankly to me it would be demoralizing that the greatest military in the world is being used against Americans, yet how are you going to replace all of the people that are supposedly here illegally? Who is going to do their work and let's face it there is nobody to do the work these folks do. Plus, you want to degrade our military to do this? If I was a business owner or a farmer the military would be met with my lawyer and the ACLU. There is not a national emergency, you as a republican senator helped create this mess by not passing bipartisan legislation on immigration when you had a chance. So deploying the military on American soil is illegal and frankly it is just one step above being a fascist. Aren't you also afraid of his "friendly attitude" toward Russia and North Korea? You don't think he would sell out America for his own power and greed? The carpet bagger would love to pull us out of NATO and let the world burn, which will affect us because global markets are intertwined. Are you going to stand up for our global alliances? Or will you be a coward?
