Block Data Centers

To: Rep. Muñoz, Gov. Kotek, Sen. Thatcher

From: A constituent in Salem, OR

August 2

The Verrus project in Marion County Oregon must be blocked. The county cannot handle the water usage or the electrical load. The company has shown it is not interested in acting within the county's citizens' best interests let alone the environment's. Verrus was hiding behind NDA's until this project was leaked. Now they're forcing through a 100acre project, even after state land was revoked and the town's citizens actively rejected the mere idea of a data center being in their county. Nashville, TN stood strong against the data center that would've been by their zoo, and they won. We must stand strong too. Vague promises mean nothing. Block Verrus, Block Data Centers. No Data Centers in Marion County.
