Fight disenfranchisement of women voters - oppose SAVE Act barriers

To: Rep. Kiley

From: A constituent in South Lake Tahoe, CA

April 8

The proposed SAVE Act contains problematic requirements that could disenfranchise eligible women voters who have changed their last names due to marriage or other reasons. For many women, obtaining the specified documentary proof of citizenship that reflects their current legal name may pose significant difficulties, effectively stripping them of their fundamental right to vote. We must ensure any efforts to secure elections do not create undue burdens or barriers that prevent law-abiding citizens from exercising their constitutional rights. Stand up and fight for our rights. Stand up and be on the right side of history. It is critical to vote no on this act.
