I am writing to support two crucial bills (SF 1935 and HB 1857) that would ban cruel cat declawing statewide! During declawing, the last bone of each toe on a cat's paw is amputated, causing lasting physical and behavioral problems. This is the equivalent of cutting the tips of your fingers off. Cats need their claws to walk properly, as well as defend themselves. This unethical practice is banned in dozens of countries across the world but only a handful of states in the U.S. have outlawed it. Please vite YES and end this cruelty.
