I’m writing to you not out of political disagreement—but out of deep alarm.
The United States just deported a legal permanent resident to El Salvador, even after the Supreme Court ordered the president to bring him back. The president of El Salvador refused, and the U.S. federal government did nothing.
That is not a policy error. That is a constitutional crisis, and a flashing red light that the guardrails of democracy are being shattered.
I come from a military family. My relatives fought for this country—bled for it—because they believed in its values: rule of law, individual rights, and equal protection under the Constitution. And now, those values are being burned down in real time by a lawless executive branch and a complicit political machine.
I'm a natural born citizen living in Arizona, and yet even I am not safe. If a legal resident can be deported in defiance of a Supreme Court ruling, then no one’s rights are secure—not even yours.
This isn’t hypothetical anymore. We are watching the transition from a republic to an authoritarian state, step by step. States’ rights are being violated. Federal agencies are being weaponized. The difference between “citizen” and “target” is shrinking by the day.
Let me be clear: this is fascism. And it will come for everyone—Trump supporters included. It always does. History is crystal clear about that.
We don’t need more empty statements. We need action. We need you to publicly condemn this deportation, to demand accountability, and to stand up for the Constitution before there is nothing left to stand on.
I come from a family that believed this country was worth defending. Prove us right. Do your job. Fight back.
