I am writing in response to your 4/13/26 newsletter. I have two main concerns. First, aside from your brief mention of our country never leaving a man behind, I am befuddled as to why you completely avoided mentioning the war in Iran. Is it because you are aware of its unpopularity? Because you know it remains illegal due to not be authorized by Congress? Because you see how ill-planned it was in its failure to strategize in the tiniest amount? Because President Trump has made so many vulgar threatening Truth Social posts about the war? You’re my Senator and I expect a literal war to be included in a newsletter from you. Second, your mention of your participation in the walk to raise awareness of childhood sexual assault survivors when you remain an uncritical supporter of Donald Trump is shamefully tone-deaf. Please don’t try to humor us with your hypocrisy. CSA is not something you can pick and choose whose transgressions to overlook. There are multiple credible CSA allegations against Mr. Trump, who is a man who has public ally bragged about free access to undressed pageant contestants under 18. Please, please do what’s right for our country.
