Demand Accountability on Trump-Epstein Files After Bondi's Firing
To: Sen. Curtis, Sen. Lee, Rep. Maloy
From: A constituent in Salt Lake City, UT
April 3
With Pam Bondi fired as Attorney General, you have a chance to demand real accountability on the Trump-Epstein files. The DOJ released over 3 million pages of documents, yet no one in Epstein's network has been arrested. I need you to push the new leadership for prosecutions, not just document dumps.
The files show thousands of emails and photos connecting powerful people to Epstein years after his 2008 conviction. The DOJ claims there's no credible evidence extending beyond Epstein and Maxwell, but legal experts say the heavily redacted documents lack context. A DOJ memo naming potential co-conspirators has the prosecution declination reasons blacked out. Georgetown law professor Paul Butler calls these redactions unusual and says they create the impression of a cover-up.
Bondi's departure opens the door for new prosecutors to review this evidence without political interference. The U.K. arrested former Prince Andrew and ex-ambassador Peter Mandelson on corruption charges related to Epstein. We can do the same here. Demand the acting Attorney General explain those redactions and assign investigators to pursue every viable charge including corruption and conspiracy. Victims won't come forward if they see the system protecting the powerful.
