INDEPENDENT VOTER Trump’s justification for banning news agencies from access to the White House reads as a chapter right out of George Orwell’s 1984. This isn’t from some fringe group. It was issued by the President of the United States and prepared by his staff. All of these people should be ashamed for not standing up and speaking truth to power. Of course that is the problem. Nobody has historically stood up for what they know is right, what they know is legal, what they know is moral, what they know is Christian. Republicans in Congress are the biggest cowards of all. It is actually your sworn duty. You took an oath. You are suppose to be a separate an equal branch of government, independent from the Executive Branch. This is a basic and critical feature of our democracy. You have failed an entire nation including Republican voters. What happened to you?
