YOU ARE ON THE RECORD — REJECT TODD BLANCHE FOR AG
To: Sen. Budd
From: A constituent in Raleigh, NC
July 29
Senator Budd,
I am writing to demand that you vote **NO** on confirming Todd Blanche as Attorney General. While it is no secret that you plan to line up and vote "Yes" regardless of the evidence, this message is to ensure you know that your constituents are watching, documenting, and holding you accountable.
You were elected to represent the people of North Carolina, yet you consistently ignore the direct warnings, requests, and outrage of the voters who pay your salary. Confirming Todd Blanche is a slap in the face to public integrity and equal justice:
**Dismissing Victims:** Senator Tillis forced Blanche to meet with Jeffrey Epstein’s survivors, and those survivors overwhelmingly called the meeting a disingenuous, "check-the-box" insult. By rubber-stamping his nomination, you are explicitly siding with a bureaucrat over dozens of sexual abuse victims.
**Active Ethics Investigation:** Blanche is currently under formal review by the New York State Bar for his involvement in executive financial maneuvers and slush funds. Voting to put the nation's top law enforcement agency in the hands of someone under active state bar scrutiny for corruption is indefensible.
**Zero Independence:** Blanche admitted his true allegiance during his hearing with his Freudian slip: *"I'm his lawyer."* The Attorney General belongs to the American people and the Constitution, not a single executive.
Your job is not to act as an uncritical rubber stamp for partisan loyalty while tuning out North Carolina. We see your refusal to listen, and we are putting your choice on the record.
Do your job, represent your constituents, and **vote NO on Todd Blanche.
