Good morning. When WE THE PEOPLE think of “legacy defining moments and legacy defining actions,” we are definitely not thinking of Trump’s desire to consolidate power to the executive branch alone. Washington had a legacy defining moment when he denied becoming a king and instead ushered democratically elected officials into our government structure. Lincoln had a legacy defining moment when he delivered the Emancipation proclamation and the Gettysburg address. Roosevelt had a legacy defining moment when he set up the new deal and social security. Kennedy had a legacy defining moment when he committed to American ingenuity and putting a man on the moon. Clinton had a legacy defining moment when he banned assault weapons. Trump will have no legacy defining moments or actions. He will be remembered as a racist, a homophobe, an ableist, a misogynist, a xenophobe, a classist, and a criminal. Do not compound his heinous actions by allowing him to continue his quest to concentrate power in the Oval Office. Impeach Trump NOW!
