The UK has taken an admirable and courageous step by announcing that it will officially recognize the state of Palestine if Israel does not stop its murd erous onslaught against the people of Gaza by September. It is very embarrassing that the United States has not done all it can to stop the atrocities against Gaza and the Ukraine. Politics and money are gettin g in the way of promoting peace and humanity, and it makes the USA appear ineffective and useless in international affairs. President Trump has promised to end these wars, but we're still waiting to see him do anything effective. What can you do to facilitate the end of the s uffering of the innocent civilian victims of these senseless, deadly wars? Could Congressional action be the answer? Whatever can be done, I hope it show s that the USA is still the beacon of hope, peace, and democracy that we once were.
